This series of MasterCard Foundation talks will address key areas of interest, where transformation is taking place in Africa.
Led by inspiring guest speakers each event will start with the speaker sharing their story, followed by an interview led by the host and end with a questions from the audience.
In this talk we’ll discuss how to tell stories for impact, led by guest speaker Isaac Oboth.
Isaac is a self-taught filmmaker from Uganda. In 2010 Isaac founded his first production company, Media 256, seven years later it was the largest freelance producer of the feature Africa shows on CNN International. At 21 Isaac was the recipient of the young achievers award for film and television, he is since a three times Forbes 30 under 30 recipient.
He founded his second production company: African Storytellers with the first project, a short film entitled Lights Out. Produced in collaboration with the MasterCard Foundation, Lights Out chronicles his entrepreneurial journey which started at 16 when his older brother could no longer afford to pay his school fees.
