Join us for a session on the essentials of Cashflow management for your start-up business.

Edinburgh Innovations will be joined by Rod Mathers and Robin Denissen-McIntosh at Henderson Loggie as well as Les Gaw at Contingens.

Henderson Loggie

Rod Mathers, delivering the workshop, is a respected figure in the Scottish financial services market with over twenty years corporate finance experience gained in both the professional services market and industry. Rod has also held a number of senior executive positions in industry where he has executed a number of transactions on behalf of an investment syndicate and as principal in the UK and Australia.

Rod’s focus is on lead advisory assignments for clients, whether they are looking to grow by merger or acquisition, to secure additional bank or private equity funding or to realise an exit or succession plan. He has experience in a range of sectors including engineering services, manufacturing, energy, food & drink and life sciences and has an advanced diploma in Corporate Finance.

Robin Denissen-McIntosh has experience in a variety of roles including Financial/Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant and Credit Control. Robin has vast knowledge in all aspects of financial reporting and administration as well as management accounts and use this knowledge and experience gained on a day to day basis within her current role as Corporate Finance Executive at Henderson Loggie.

Rod and Robin will highlight the fundamentals of cashflow management for early stage businesses.

Les Gaw

Les is an experienced Non Executive Director and Advisor to early stage technology companies. A highly motivated and experienced company director with strong commercial and financial skills, developed on top of a solid technical background with well-developed stakeholder management skills and strong leadership credentials.

During a 24-year career Les has delivered significant technology and business change projects and successfully led the growth and subsequent trade sale of a technology start up from pre-revenue to profitability with global sales. He has extensive experience in business planning, strategy development, and commercial management in a variety of sectors in addition to profit and loss responsibility of the businesses in which I have worked for a number of years. 

Les will be delivering the practical element of the workshop where he will be using some examples of financial modelling for start-ups using the Contingens model. https://contingens.com/
